Robert Schwartz is a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager for High Yield. Previously, he was an AB Corporate Credit Research analyst, covering specialty finance, automotive, aerospace/defense and industrial companies. Prior to joining the firm in 2012, Schwartz analyzed the same industries as a senior credit analyst at Citadel Investment Group and Bell Point Capital Management. Before beginning his investing career in 2005, he was a project leader with Boston Consulting Group, where he advised industrial and financial companies on corporate strategy. Schwartz started his career as an automotive engineer working in Detroit, where he was awarded two patents. He holds a BS in mechanical engineering (summa cum laude) from the University of Michigan and an MBA (with high distinction) from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Patrick O'Connell is a Senior Vice President and Director of Fixed Income Responsible Investing Research. In this role, he is part of the leadership team that develops responsible investment strategy across AB's Fixed Income business, particularly related to integrating environmental, social and governance considerations throughout the team's research and engagement. Previously, O'Connell served as a corporate credit research analyst, focusing on emerging-market corporates in Latin American and African countries. He joined the Emerging Markets research team in 2013 after working as a credit analyst covering US high-yield energy credits at AB. Prior to joining the firm in 2012, O'Connell was a desk analyst at UBS Investment Bank, where he helped to allocate capital on the trading desk. He holds a BS in accounting and finance (magna cum laude) from Villanova University and is a CFA charterholder. Location: New York
Janegail Orringer is a Senior Vice President and Corporate Credit Research Analyst, serving as manager of AB's loan portfolios and covering the gaming and healthcare industries. Prior to joining the firm in 2009, she was a senior vice president at Halcyon Asset Management, where she assisted with credit strategies. Orringer previously served as managing director of leveraged finance funds at the Carlyle Group, where she ran a stressed loan portfolio, was head of leveraged finance research and provided research in the broadcasting, building materials, gaming and healthcare areas. She holds a BA in political science from Bryn Mawr College and a JD and an MBA from New York University. Location: New York
