Overview
An actively managed, short-duration municipal bond ETF that possesses enhanced flexibility to seek asset stability with a moderate rate of after-tax returns
About this Fund
- Uses an innovative structure to help balance three distinctive return sources designed to help boost returns: high-grade municipals, municipal credit, and taxable bonds
- Strives to manage interest-rate exposure, with the ability to invest in lower-rated munis and corporate bonds
- Leverages the strength of AB’s award-winning, fixed-income platform
Investment Approach
- Will have a minimum of 80% in municipal bonds and a maximum of 20% in taxable bonds
- Invests selectively in municipal credit
- Targets a duration between 1-3 years
Net expense ratio, if applicable, reflects the contractual waiver of a portion of the Advisor’s fee and/or reimbursement of a portion of the Fund’s operating expenses. This waiver and/or reimbursement extends through a particular date, as specified in the Fund’s current prospectus, and may be further extended or terminated by the Advisor, as set forth in the prospectus. Absent waivers and/or reimbursements, performance would have been lower.

The 30-day median bid/ask spread represents the NBBO (national best bid and best offer) at the end of each 10 second interval of each trading day during the last 30 calendar days (i.e., 9:30:00 to 9:30:09AM EST all the way through 3:59:50 to 3:59:59PM EST) for the ETF. The spread of each NBBO (difference between the bid and ask) is divided by the midpoint of the NBBO (average of the bid and ask). The median of those values over the trailing 30 calendar days is shown as a percentage. Fund shares commenced trading on %listDate%. Until the time the Fund has been active for 30 days, Median Bid/Ask Spread will reflect rolling data for the number of days the Fund has been active.
Shares of any ETF are bought and sold at market price (not NAV) and may trade at a discount or premium to NAV. Shares are not individually redeemable from the Fund and may be only be acquired or redeemed from the Fund in creation units. Brokerage commissions will reduce returns.
Market Price is the official closing price as of the end of the prior business day from the primary listing exchange.

Investors should consider the investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses of the Fund/Portfolio carefully before investing. Shares of the ETF may be bought or sold throughout the day at their market price on the exchange on which they are listed. The market price of an ETF's shares may be at, above or below the ETF’s net asset value ("NAV") and will fluctuate with changes in the NAV as well as supply and demand in the market for the shares. Shares of the ETF may only be redeemed directly with the ETF at NAV by Authorized Participants, in very large creation units. There can be no guarantee that an active trading market for the Fund’s shares will develop or be maintained, or that their listing will continue or remain unchanged. Buying or selling the Fund’s shares on an exchange may require the payment of brokerage commissions and frequent trading may incur brokerage costs that detract significantly from investment returns.
-
Below Investment Grade Securities Risk: Investments in fixed-income securities with lower ratings (a/k/a junk bonds) are subject to a higher probability that an issuer will default or fail to meet its payment obligations. These securities may be subject to greater price volatility due to such factors as specific municipal or corporate developments and negative performance of the junk bond market generally and may be more difficult to trade than other types of securities.
-
Bond Risk: The Fund is subject to the same risks as the underlying bonds in the portfolio such as credit, prepayment, call and interest rate risk. As interest rates rise the value of bond prices will decline.
-
Derivatives Risk: Derivatives may be more sensitive to changes in market conditions and may amplify risks.
-
Municipal Market Risk: Economic conditions, political or legislative changes, public health crises, uncertainties related to the tax status of municipal securities, or the rights of investors in these securities may negatively impact the yield or value of a municipal security.
-
Tax Risk: The U.S. Government and the U.S. Congress may periodically consider changes in federal tax law that could limit or eliminate the federal tax exemption for municipal bond income, which would in effect reduce the income received by shareholders from the Fund by increasing taxes on that income.
-
New Fund Risk: The Fund is a recently organized, giving prospective investors a limited track record on which to base their investment decision.
