As a Cornell undergrad studying labor relations, Daniel Loewy became fascinated with business strategy and how companies worked. He began his career at AB and currently oversees the research, product design, and implementation of the firm's multi-asset strategies.
The relationship between research and calculated risk is key to Loewy active management approach. "We use research to generate differentiated insights," he says. Prioritizing the resources that generate those unique ideas lets AB stand out in a highly competitive landscape.
But generating ideas is only part of the challenge. Trading, understanding the research and implementing it for clients is what drew Loewy to AB. "It's the nerve center," he says. "Where it all comes together."
