Akhil Kapoor joined the firm in 2005 as a research analyst. Previously, he was a senior director of strategy and business development in specialty materials at Honeywell Corp. Prior to that, Kapoor was an industry expert at McKinsey & Company, president of Chem-Etrade and a global product manager at BOC Gases. He earned a BTech in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, in 1983; a PhD in chemical engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1989; and an MBA from the University of Chicago in 2001.
